The Simian Society was formed in 1957 to improve the lives of captive primates through education of their owners and the public. As well as the national organization, there are many local chapters located throughout the U.S.. maybe even in your area!

By joining the National, you are eligible to join a local chapter in your area. These contacts can mean lifelong friendships and valuable support for you and primates you care for. As well as the local level, you are joining a network of experienced caretakers. A collective knowledge of over 40 years of experience. 

Membership in this alliance of respected primate caregivers helps monitor the formation of state and local regulations regarding primates that could affect your rights. 

Your annual dues work towards improving conditions for captive monkeys, and promoting education and knowledge about these very special creatures. 

Bi-annual Conventions, monkey events, Chapter Meetings, support in emergencies, primate care in your absence, adoption assistance, information to help in caring for these complex and very special animals -- and much more!
